Bahnhofsbrücke in Heilbronn

Together with FS Architekten from Darmstadt Ponting introduced a monumental and bald bridge design. The proposed footbridge overcomes all 17 railway tracks at the railway station in Hailbronn (Germany) in a single span of 190 m. The bridge can be built with incremental launching construction method, without major interferences to the railway traffic and within the set budget of 5.5 Mio EUR. The bridge would be built until 2019 as a BUGA 2019 entrance point and a contribution to the city development as a major infrastructural link between the city center and new residential and recreational district Neckarbogen. Our bridge design reached the final competition round but unfortunately didn't make it among the awarded solutions.
