Arcade gallery Meljski hrib
The gallery Meljski hrib is an earth retaining structure, shielding the main road and cyclist and pedestrian areas from falling rocks from unstable hillsides above. It is a massive concrete frame structure, opened on the outer side through an arcade wall of round piers. This opens and illuminates the structure inside and gives it an overall lighter appearance. The gallery was built in a vulnerable and protected natural environment with strict regulating terms and legislations.
