In December, as part of the engineering consortium DB Engineering + Ponting + Gradis PB, we submitted a preliminary design for a new bridge over the Danube in Belgrade.
The road bridge at Ada Huja crosses the Danube River, which at the crossing, is 1 km wide. The bridge is 32.5 m wide and 3.5 km long. Together with the access ramps, the project covers over 122.000 m
2 bridge area. The bridge is designed as a concrete prestressed structure, built with several construction methodes at one time; balanced cantilever construction with spans of 190 m, incremental launching and span-by-span stage construction.
