Kristal Tower - 1st floor of the observation deck poured

The 1st floor cantilever slab of the observation deck at the Kristal Tower in Rogaška Slatina was poured this week. The 150 m3 of concrete, at a height of 95.9 m, were placed in two phases. Over the next few weeks, two more slabs of a two-story, symmetric designed observation deck, shaped as an abstract crystal form, will be built.

Once completed, the 106 meters high observation tower with a two-storey viewing platform and an outdoor rooftop observatory will become the tallest building in Slovenia. The tower will offer views of Rogaška Slatina and its surroundings and will further diversify the offer of the town, known for its mineral water, health resorts and glassworks.

The tower was designed by Ponting Bridges and Korpnik produkcija, the contractor is VG5. Nearby, Ponting bridges also designed the overpass Sonce, built exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, providing a safe connection between the Rogaška Slatina promenade and the foothills of Tržaški hrib, where also the Kristal Tower is located.

Construction of the Kristal observation tower in Rogaška Slatina has been underway since last April, and the construction is expected to be completed by March 2024.
