The pier construction of the Gabrovica Viaduct, which runs under the Črni Kal highway viaduct, has been completed. The piers are up to 64 meters high. Until now, 290 meters of the final 416 meter long "U-shaped" prestressed concrete superstructure have been successfully launched. The completion of the launching of the Gabrovica Viaduct superstructure is scheduled for before Christmas 2023.
The project was prepared by Design Joint Venture Ponting Bridges and Pipenbaher Consulting Engineers, the author and the main designer is Dr.h.c. Marjan Pipenbaher, MSCE. The works are being carried out by Yapi Merkezi.
