The Municipality of Rogaška Slatina has signed a contract with the chosen contractors Adriaplan d.o.o. and Petrič d.o.o., a joint venture, for the construction of a new overpass Sonce in Rogaška Slatina, Slovenia. The works will start this month, and the new overpass is expected to be completed in one year.The overpass Sonce will connect the Rogaška Slatina’s old spa area with the Trieste hill. A 177.5-meter long and 3.5-meter wide overpass will serve as a new, safe bike and walking trail for the local community.
Structural and architectural solution of the new pedestrian and cyclist overpass was prepared by design office Ponting. The transparent curved steel structure will have one larger, 43-meter-long arch span across the road and railway.
