Construction works on the new overpass at the Titova cesta roundabout are in full swing. In the last few days, a steel structure weighing 22 tons, 40.5 meters long and 3.74 meters wide was installed.
With the new overpass, the Municipality of Maribor wants to enable cyclists and pedestrians an easier and safer cross of Titova cesta. At the same time, the north-south route will be improved and shortened, which is especially important for the connection of the city centre to the University Medical Centre Maribor (UKC Maribor).
When designing the new structure, we followed the
adjacent overpass, which was also designed by Ponting Consulting Engineers, and was completed in 2014. The new overpass will be completed in mid-September.
